Brothers!!!

These photos make me smile from ear to ear! I love that the boys are such good friends! They love being together and get along really well! They have been holding hands lately when they cross the street, hugging one another, carrying on their own conversations, saying "bless you" to each other when they sneeze, playing and sharing well, etc. It is truly amazing to watch and I feel so blessed! I am so proud of my boys! It is amazing to watch their bond grow each day!

New Braunfels Children's Museum

Patrick, Mamie, Papa and I took the boys to the McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels at the beginning of October. It was wonderful! The kids were in Heaven! We went on a Monday and pretty much had the place to ourselves which was even better. Oliver kayaked, checked groceries with Daddy, painted his first masterpiece, drove an ambulance, went to outerspace, took car of some babies and played with a train! Miles loved pushing buttons in the spaceship, shopping for groceries at "HEB", making a pretend newspaper article with his own photo inserted, and measuring his height at the "doctor's office". It was so cool to watch them play and pretend! We can't wait to go back.

Little Pumpkins

Had to share this cute photo of the boys and Miss Anna Wolf! This was taken after church at the St. Luke's Pumpkin Patch the other weekend. Such cute blondies! Of course the boys were more interested in the cars driving down Westheimer!

Aunt Tracy Came to Visit

Tracy was in town the other week. She stayed with us and we went to dinner at a new fav in the neighborhood. It is called Jenni's Noodle House. In true Heights style it is cool, casual, kid friendly and BYOB! We enjoyed a delicious dinner. The boys had tofu and snow peas for the first time. Then we headed outside to enjoy the rest of our vino and play in the concrete tunnel! Such a cool idea and the boys loved it! We had a great evening and loved having Aunt Tracy here! Come back soon please and bring Adam next time will ya!

We Heart Charlotte!

Patrick and I went to visit KK and Matt in Charlotte in September! We had never been to visit and decided it would be a perfect time to go since the Kings of Leon were playing that weekend. We had a great time! KK and Matt's house is like walking through an issue of House Beautiful! It is decorated perfectly and we really wish we could have figured out a way to bring their three sofa sectional home with us. We definitely got to know it well over the weekend! We also became very familiar with all of the yummy local eateries around town. We ate at The Penguin and Dandelion Market; both of which were delicious and super cool. We became frequent visitors of a place called Amelie! It was in their neighborhood and open 24hrs. Probably one of the coolest coffee/pastry/lunch shops I have ever been to. One of the photos about is of Patrick and Matt ordering a coffee and chocolate filled croissant after attending the Public Enemy show on Sunday night. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that PE was there. We stayed an extra night just so Patrick and Matt could go to the show together. Luckily our two little white boys didn't get their booties kicked. They actually made buddies and when KK and I pulled into the parking lot to pick them up from the show Matt was in line for an autograph.
Anyway, It was a wonderful weekend with our wonderful friends. We can't wait to go back, spend another fun weekend there, and then help them drive a car back when they move home to Texas!

p.s. - don't ask about the cabinet photo! P broke it with his REI shorts....luckily it is fixed!

Christmas Came Early

One day, each month, the boys get a little taste of Christmas! It is the day when Patrick's car magazine arrive in the mail! Last month it was hilarious! We came home from the park, checked the mail and this is exactly what they did. They literally grabbed the magazines, sat down on the steps, and began combing through the pages calling out the names of cars. It was a great day at The Burdick House! We are anxiously awaiting this months issues.
